5/5 Food Hygiene Rating
Crickhowell sits about 15 to 20 minutes east along the A40, a straightforward drive with no significant hill roads to contend with. It's a market town on the banks of the River Usk, at the foot of the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons (Bannau Brycheiniog National Park), long known for punching above its weight on food — well-regarded gastropubs and a genuine local sense that eating well matters. That reputation is exactly why Fuzion's rating tends to catch Crickhowell diners' attention: globally-inspired small plates blending Mediterranean, Polish and Asian influences, a style nothing in Crickhowell itself is doing. The same trip covers Llangattock and Llangynidr along the Usk valley, and diners from both villages are a regular part of Fuzion's booking pattern alongside Crickhowell itself — as are bookings from Monmouth, Usk and the villages of Llantilio Crossenny and Llanddewi Rhydderch to the east of Abergavenny.
Sunday is its own separate menu, not an add-on: two courses at £27.95 or three at £33.95, book a table as normal and choose and pay from the Sunday menu on the day — nothing to select or pay for in advance. Herefordshire Top Side of Beef, Free Range Loin of Pork, Indyk Schnitzel, the fish of the day or Garden Cottage Pie (vegan and gluten-free) are the mains on rotation.
